- Interview

- Online Application Open All Year Round
- First Registered First Served
Rightmind believes that “Every child is good at something” and therefore there will be no tedious interview process for a child seeking admission to our school except for an observation class where a child will need to show that they do not have severe “learning difficulties” or aggressive behaviour. We seek families with vision and values similar to those of our school so we will have an interview with parents during which we can exchange views and answer questions.
For every academic year, the school may have one or more interview sessions. You will be notified by email and/or text message to your phone to attend one of the interviews. In the event that you cannot attend the interview on the day or time specified, please let us know soonest so we can arrange for an alternative date and time for you. At the interview, you will be asked questions related to the messages contained in the School Information Session.
It is also a requirement that all parents of all students must have attended a “School Information Session” hosted by our School Supervisor / Chief Consultant / Headmistress (Headmaster) to ensure that the values of the family aligns with the school’s mission and vision. When physical meetings are not feasible for whatsoever reason, the school will conduct “School Information Session” online. You will be notified of the date and time to login.
Please kindly fill in the online application form together with payment for the applicable fees to commence your application process. Our application is open year round for the convenience of parents.
Please note the interview periods as follows:
1. 1st round of interviews – October and November (Saturdays) for applications received between 1/9-3/10
2. 2nd round of interviews – January and February (Saturdays) for applications received between 4/10-31/12
3. Final round interviews (weekdays/ Saturdays)- for applications received between 31/12-30/6 *Individual/ small group interviews will be arranged accordingly at the end of each month
For students who wish to transfer to Rightmind Kindergarten, applications are open all year round. School Information Session, Parents interview and observation class will be arranged according to the admission date of the student.
You will then receive an email confirming receipt of your application together with a date on which you will visit the school and attend the “School Information Session” which will typically last an hour. (One or both parents must be present at the session, failing which your child will not be admitted into the school.)
Allocation of places and preference on morning or afternoon session (where applicable) will be allocated on a “first registered first served” basis. So it is important that you put in your application early so you can be early in the line.

Crèche Programme (18 – 24 months)
In 2012, RMKG launched the crèche programme, designed to gently introduce children to school life from as young as 18 months old. A strong emphasis is placed on developing trust and helping children feel settled and secure. Students of the crèche class learn through play; immersive activities which adopt the right brain learning methods consistent with our teaching philosophies. To ensure that our crèche students are both comfortable and confident moving to pre-nursery, they are introduced to all the teaching methods used throughout Pre Nursery such as; Letterland phonics, vocabulary, Di Zi Gui and Zhonghua Zijing.
Music is pivotal in the success of the right brain curriculum due to its effects on memory and mood. Students not only participate in daily music classes with a qualified music teacher, but music also finds its place in the Putonghua and English classes. Toys, puzzles and other various apparatus are also used to help foster the development of children’s fine and gross motor skills. By introducing children to a comfortable environment, rich with experiences and full of encouragement, they will grow in independence, knowledge and skill.
